Nico is a sweet and cheerful girl who only wants the world. As one might guess from her appearance, she's very much a romantic; she sees beauty in everything around her, and tries to find joy in the smallest things. She's playful and outgoing, and loves making new friends. She's also a bit of a gossip and a shameless flirt!

Despite her mischievous attitude, something about her nonchalant confidence gives off older sister vibes, and even to those who don't know her, her unfazed smile seems to say "everything will be okay". She feels good when she feels needed and when she makes people happy, so she loves her work as a nail technician; it allows her make her clients feel beautiful and cared for, and that is very rewarding to her.

With her cutesy clothes and carefree disposition it's easy to underestimate her or not take her seriously, but Nico is a force to be reckoned with when her mind is set on something. She's not someone who holds back or makes compromises: she's determined to live her life to its fullest every day — any of them could be her last after all. She’s a magical girl who frequently has to fight for her life, and she decided years ago that if she had to choose, she'd rather be here for a good time than a long time.

MAgical Life

Nico lives a secret life as a magical girl, and risks her life for strangers on a weekly basis. She's happy to do so, as it gives her a sense of purpose, and winning battles makes her feel powerful — but this side of her life means she's forced to face a lot horror and death, which is why she tries to surround herself only with sweet and happy things when she can. 

She's been battling monsters for 7 years. Magical girls like Nico get a power boost every time they defeat a monster, so normally you would expect one with her experience would be at a whole different power level at this point in her career. But rather than gleaning as much power as she can to improve her own magical abilities, Nico prioritizes helping weak newly awakened magical girls instead. She'll fight their fights for them, but allow them to land the finishing blow and thus gain the power-up in her place. 

Because she's been doing this for so long, Nico has grown very confident in her own skills, and learned to enjoy a good fight. She tries to get as much fun out of each fight as she can, and gets a kick out of showing off. Though her encouraging smile and fearless attitude initially tends to instill a sense of confidence and security in her protégées, once they see her playful and nonchalant fighting style they will more often than not start to wonder if she has a screw loose.

ABILITIES

Her magical powers allow her to control, shape, and harden her blood, and turn it into different weapons and objects. Though her main weapon of choice is a bow and arrow for ranged fights, and dual swords for close combat, she can create almost anything from her blood. As her powers depend on her own blood, she also regenerates at an amazing speed.

TRIVIA

• Both of her knuckle tattoos are simply slight variations of the same idea, because she couldn't decide which way to stylize the text, so she decided to just get both versions. 

• Her magical girl name is Saint Valentine, and her catch phrase is "Don't worry, love! Saint Valentine is here!".

• Her favorite magical weapon to use is a bow and arrow for ranged fights, or two swords which she dual wields in close combat.

• She has really fast metabolism, and after a monster battle she's always exceptionally hungry.
