►Design

Kerberos is a **petite** and **slender** Au’ra girl with **albinism**.
She has **red eyes**, and the outer circle part of her irises **glow** in the dark.
On her forehead is a **red gem** with a decorative lotus shaped **gold setting** around it.
She has no ears — in the place where those would usually, she instead has a set of scaled **horns**.
Her skin is very pale, and her face and body are decorated with patches of **ivory white scales**.
Her **wavy white hair** is silky and voluminous, and her bangs are cut and styled into a **middle parting**.
Instead of nails, she has **sharp claws**. Their natural color is ivory like her scales, but she often paints them.
She has a pointy **dragon tail** with 3 layers of spikes at the base.

Artist notes

In simple art styles, her forehead jewel can be drawn as as simple red diamond shape, without the gold setting.
Feel free to refer to these folders with SCREENSHOT REFERENCES, for a better understanding of what her horns, scales, and clothes look like.

You don't need worry about drawing all the details in her outfits accurately. Her in-game clothes are pretty intricate, and I tend to simplify them however I feel like when I'm drawing her, so feel free to do the same! I also like to add fur to the ends of the sleeves, which isn't in the game version.
Her hairstyles can be combined with any outfit! You can also draw the hair longer, and style it differently (braided for example) if you like.

STYLE

Kerberos usually wears a puffy cropped jacket with a fur lined hood, which in the back has a long cord/braid thing with a glowing crystal at the end — paired with pants, boots, and a couple of layered belts and accessories. She usually wears some rings too.

Naturally, her claws are ivory colored like her scales, but she often paints them red, black, or lilac, to match her outfit.

NOTE 1: The screenshot folder includes turnaround shots of what her jacket looks like in the game, but I tend to draw a simplified version, and add fur to the sleeve cuffs.

NOTE 2: The white "underwear" outfit is actually her beach wear/swimsuit!

NOTE!!!

I’m only early into the HEAVENSWARD storyline (MSQ 53, the Churning Mists). If you want to use a scene or setting from FFXIV as inspiration for a Kerberos drawing, I would love to see it — but please be mindful not to draw anything that spoils the story! ♥︎

JOBS

Kerberos’ main jobs are SAMURAI and BARD, but she also dabbles in DRAGOON, PALADIN, and DARK KNIGHT. In short, swords and archery are her main things.

NPCS

Kerberos is good friends with Yda and Y'shtola, and sees Alphinaud as a little brother. She is more or less dating Haurchefant. Feel free to draw her together with any of them!

MOUNTS

Kerberos is most often seen riding a Round Lanner (big sparkly eagle), Auspicious Kamuy (white and purple striped flaming wolf), or an Ahriman (giant floating eyeball monster). You can find references here!

THE MORE YOU KNOW

General

Despite her young age and small stature, Kerberos is a very capable adventurer, and an expert monster hunter. Having defeated a lot of strong foes and elementals in the realm of Eorzea, she’s become a bit of a folk hero.

She's very fond of critters and creatures in general, and finds even the weird and creepy ones adorable. They tend to like her back! Most of all she adores moogles, spriggans and ahrimans.
She travels a lot, and loves to sample the local cuisine everywhere she goes. She’ll try anything!
She also loves to explore, and is always looking for scenic views on her travels.
She grew up in the mountains, and she’s mostly unbothered by cold and snowy weather.
