STYLE
Charlotte's brand of fashion is basically just outfits that make her look like she just came from the funeral of her third dead rich husband.
She mostly wears long skirts, dresses, and puffy sleeve blouses, preferably layered with some sheer fabrics, combined with lace gloves — all in black.
She also loves berets, frilly bags, fishnets, veils, and gothic jewelry.
Artist notes
Her right eye is usually covered by her bangs, but it's just a style choice of hers; it would be fine to draw it peeking out.
The placement of the streaks in her hair are not exact, but both her roots and the bottom layer of her hair are all black, with no green.
She's meant to have a somewhat creepy vibe, like even when she smiles it feels like something is slightly off.

THE MORE YOU KNOW
PERSONAL
Like anyone, Charlotte enjoys the simpler things in life, like good wine, necromancy, and expensive clothes. Though she is a “magical girl”, she doesn’t care much for the term — should anyone ask, she rather identifies as a witch. She hates monsters with the intensity of a thousand burning suns, but some might say she has become one herself.
Before Charlotte got her powers, her girlfriend was killed by a monster. An other magical girl showed up and tried to save her, but failed and was also slain. Charlotte’s own magical powers awoke soon after, and distraught by grief she went on a monster killing spree. Seeking out and smiting every little evil thing she could find, her powers grew at a rapid speed, and she soon gained notoriety. It’s well known that she excels at killing, but that she doesn’t have a single care for the people she might end up rescuing in the process.
Charlotte feels no empathy for weak people, especially magical girls. She blames them all for letting her girlfriend die, and despises anyone who can’t defend defend themselves. Though some admire her dedication to the monster killing life, she is not very popular among her peers. It doesn’t help that her magical form is utterly terrifying, or that her magical powers allow her to raise the dead.
MAGICAL LIFE
Charlotte (or Walpurgisnacht as her magical form is called) is a high ranking magical girl. She has killed enough monsters that her magic aura is so strong that it can no longer be contained within her; it now extends far beyond herself like a protective shield against monsters and malevolent energy around her. Because of this, she has been appointed Guardian of a section of a city, and has a shrine dedicated to her.
Traditionally, Guardians are supposed to stay close to their shrines, and ensure that their magical barrier shields the section of the city they're assigned to. Charlotte doesn't really care about that. You can count on her to slay any beasts that cross her path, but she comes and goes as she pleases, and the residents around her shrine never have any idea whether they're currently protected from attacks or not.
POWERS
In her magical form she uses a large halberd/war axe to fight, but she also has the ability to call on and resurrect dead and buried things to back her up and fight for her. Her summons all take skeletal forms, and they will fight for her and follow her commands as long as she stays in her magical form. This skeletal army has no memories or will of their own aside from carrying out the will of Walpurgisnacht, and when Charlotte reverts back to normal, her minions once again go back to being dead. Anything that was buried will dig their way back under ground before they go to rest again.
SHRINE
Her “shrine” is a dilapidated victorian cemetery chapel. It's half in ruin, covered in vines and moss and other plant life, with a twisted tree growing inside. Thanks to Charlotte's powers, anyone who is buried in the cemetery nearby soon finds their way up to the surface again, in a shambling skeletal form.
These undead only have a sliver of soul attached, and like her battle minions, they are only animated as long as Charlotte is in the area. Depending on the day, visitors may just find “normal” skeletal remains scattered around the place — or an extremely haunted cemetery crawling with undead.
There's a lot of ghost stories and urban legends about this seemingly cursed chapel, and the shrine of Walpurgisnacht doesn't have many worshippers for obvious reasons. Still there are some people who will enter on a dare, and some horror enthusiasts who want to see if the stories are true. Rumors say that if you're disruptive or disrespectful during your visit, living skeletons will swarm you and turn you into one of them.
Despite everything, Walpurgisnacht does have a small but very dedicated cult following. Some of her most hardcore believers even bury their dead in her cemetery, so that they may come back and worship at her shrine forever.
TRIVIA
Both Charlotte’s first name and the name of her magical form are references to the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime :)
