Joy dresses in a glamorously bohemian style, loosely inspired by the starlets of the roaring 1920s.

He wears almost exclusively black outfits with silver accents, though occasionally he’ll sprinkle in some teal or floral embroidery. He loves sparkly sheer fabrics, lace, velvet, beads and embroidery — anything that looks expensive and extravagant.

You’ll find him wearing fancy underwear, long dresses and fringed kimono jackets, paired with silver jewelry, decorative collars or harnesses, and draped with scarves and shawls.

His eyes are solid white, but irises can be depicted as brighter white (optional). The eyes can appear glowy, but never milky, and he should never be drawn with pupils.

Joy is a wandering storyteller, who travels the world to meet and to entertain people, and collect their stories on the way. He has a vast knowledge of everything from myths and folklore, to urban legends and plain gossip. He’s also a lover of wine and men, and a talented flute player.

Personal

He is a very social person who loves to charm and be charmed. His demeanor is suave in a pleasant and disarming way, and both his voice and his touch are gentle. However, you only have to buy him a few drinks for him to turn considerably more lively and jovial. But he’s a performer in his heart and soul, and he’s been perfecting his presentation his whole life, and his movements remain elegant and graceful no matter his state.

As much as he loves to perform and entertain people, he loves hearing other people’s stories as much as he loves to tell his own, and he’s a very attentive listener.

He loves parties and festivals — everything that seems new and fun and exciting, and looks like a place where fine wine, exotic drinks, and fascinating people can be found. He also loves to relax and be pampered, but not for too long. He’s a restless soul, and has to constantly keep moving.

livelihood

Joy spends a lot of time on the road, traveling in any direction until he finds a town or a city. There he looks for a tavern, and asks for free lodging in exchange for entertaining the guests, then takes a seat among the patrons and start to captivate his them with his stories. He tells a mix of fairytales and legends, stories that he heard from other people on his travels, tales about exotic places he visited, and things he just made up, using minor illusions and flute interludes to enhance the performance. Afterwards he mingles and lets people pay him or buy him food and drinks in exchange for private conversations, more stories, or some private company.
