What's an "adoptable"?

In the art community, "adoptables" are original character designs that are for sale. Once you buy (aka adopt) a character, it basically becomes your new OC.

If you adopt a character from me, you receive the ownership and a high-res artwork of the character design. You are then free to decide the character's name, gender, personality, backstory etc, and use it however you want — as long as you follow my terms.


Hello! sunnycore’s ADOPTION TERMS

  • PERSONAL USE ONLY!

  • You may NOT use the character for any sort of commercial use without talking to me first. This includes using the character as a mascot to promote yourself or your brand with, or as the base for a vtuber model. If you want to use the design for any such thing, you have to contact me first to see if we can come to an agreement.

  • You may NOT use the character to promote hate speech, or anything else offensive.

  • You may NOT claim to be the original creator of the art or the design that I made.

CUSTOMIZATION

  • You MAY decide the character's name, gender, personality, backstory etc.

  • You MAY adjust the design, add or remove parts of it, change the body type, change clothing style and so on — as long as the general design is still recognizable.
    HOWEVER: if you want to make changes, please make them either by adding notes, or by making a new drawing of the character on your own. Please do not edit my original artwork.

  • You may Not drastically change the character's skin tone.

RIGHTS

  • The original design and the original artwork of the character will remain my intellectual property — meaning that I will be credited as the original creator, and maintain the right to display the character artwork on my website and such.

    I will NOT use the character for anything else.

  • You maintain the rights to the character itself. You can use it however you want as long as you follow my terms. The character is yours, it's 100% your OC.

WHAT ELSE?

  • You MAY make stories with the character, roleplay as the character, cosplay it, draw it, commission art of it and so on, as long as what you make is non-commercial.

  • Sales are final, but you MAY re-sell, trade or give the character away to someone else — as long as you 1) credit me as the original creator, and 2) refer the new owner to this page so they can read the terms.

  • You may NOT mint/turn a character you adopted from me into an NFT in any way shape or form. If you break this rule, you immediately lose the rights to the character, and I am allowed to resell them to someone else.

  • I would like to be informed if one of my designs changes owners!

Credit

  • My username is the same everywhere, so you can simply credit me as @hellosunnycore. If you want to provide a link, either my website or my Twitter is fine!

  • If you put the character up on ToyHou.se I'd love to be added as the creator!

Purchasing an adoptable from me automatically means that you agree to the terms on this page.
